GI Overview

For years I have been researching and writing books about how to rebuild your metabolism and slow down metabolic aging through the five steps of The Schwarzbein Principle Program (SPP). I am happy to report that this program has helped thousands of people improve their metabolism and health. However, as most of my patients will tell you, I have continued to search for missing pieces to the metabolic puzzle and I am excited to share with you the latest discovery that I have been working on for the past few years with my own patients with dramatic results! In fact, I am so excited by the clinical results of this new addition to my program that I have decided to offer testing through my website to reach as many people as possible.

I have not changed the basic 5 steps of my program but have elaborated on Step 1—Healthy Nutrition—to include a focus on improving digestion and identifying and avoiding “hidden” food allergies (those you would never know you were reacting to because you would not necessarily have obvious symptoms) as well as identifying and treating “bad bugs” (parasites, bacteria and fungi) found in the gastro-intestinal tract (GI tract).

There are two ways to address your hidden food allergy issues. One is to follow the strictest elimination diet protocol and the other is to get tested and have the diet protocol tailored to your lab results. A major problem with not getting tested is that we will not be able to identify your bad bugs.

• If you are in the early stages of digestive issues (no symptoms or medical problems), you may just want to choose package A.
• If you have symptoms or other medical diagnoses, you should consider getting tested and choosing package B or C, so we can personalize a GI program for you.
• If you are very ill, have multiple medical problems and/or take many prescription medications, consider getting tested in both the GI and adrenal areas and speaking to me directly regarding your concerns (package D).
