The Schwarzbein Referral Practitioner Program

SRP Level I Practitioners

To be listed as a Level I referral means the practitioner attended a Level I course and took a Level I test and passed with a grade of 90 percent or higher. It also means that the provider is well versed in the first four steps of my program; healthy nutrition, stress management and sleep, tapering off toxic chemicals and smart exercise. The Level I course does not include training on how to make medication changes or treat hormone problems.

To be listed as an SRP Level I Practitioner, the provider must be in a health related field such as a dietitian, nutritionist, acupuncturist, chiropractor, holistic physician, psychologist, nurse practitioner, exercise expert, stress management expert, health or life coach, physicians assistant, or MD. Make sure that you understand their particular expertise and licenses because all credentials are not the same.
Many of you will only need to be helped by a nutritionist or life coach and don’t need to be seen by a chiropractor or MD to help you change your eating and lifestyle habits. Others will need more expertise, especially if you already have a degenerative disease of aging or other medical issues.

Another great feature of the Level I practitioner is that most of their licenses and certifications allows them to help you over the phone. So though you may not find someone whose office is close to you, you may still find someone close enough by phone to help you with all your needs.

I feel confident you will find a Level I practitioner that can help you with your basic nutrition and lifestyle needs. However, you still must use the same criteria that you normally would in choosing someone to help you with your medical needs. If you feel you need someone with more expertise in a certain area consider seeing a Level II Practitioner.

SRP Level II Practitioners

To be listed as a Level II referral means that the health care provider is able to help you with your more advanced needs. All Level II practitioners completed and passed the Level I course as well as the course they are listed under. Level II referrals are divided into 3 areas of study. (Please note that we are in the process of starting our Level II courses in January 2005).

  • 1) Level II HRT—Hormone replacement therapy for menopause. To qualify the practitioner took a Level II HRT course and passed the test with a grade of 90% or higher. All level II HRT practitioners must have the ability to prescribe medications.
  • 2) Level II GI—Gastrointestinal tract issues. To qualify the practitioner took a Level II GI course and passed the test with a grade of 90% or higher. Level II GI practitioners do not have to be able to prescribe medications.
  • 3) Level II Adrenal and Insulin—Adrenal gland and insulin problems. To qualify the practitioner took a Level II Adrenal and Insulin course and passed the test with a grade of 90% or higher. All Level II Adrenal and Insulin practitioners must have the ability to prescribe medications.

I hope you will find the list provided helpful and I wish you continued success in your quest for health and happiness. And please let me know of your experiences—good or bad—with whomever you see. Click here to fill out assessment form.
